Ad hoc network is collections of wireless mobile devices with limited broadcast range and resources, and no fixed infrastructure. The dynamic nature of network and the attacker node leads to frequent breakage of links which reduces the performance of the routing protocol.The secured route needs to be established between source and destination with only the trusted and non-attacker nodes. The cryptographic based secured routing having more computational overhead.In the trust based secure route discovery technique, the modification of mutable fields of control packets is possible. So both the techniques can be combined. The proposed algorithm to discover the secured route considers lifetime of the route and the trust value of the route. The routing disruption attacks such as black-hole, rushing attacks, colluding misrelay attack and other attacks like modification attacks can be avoided by detecting malicious nodes in route discovery process. To reduce the computational overhead only the mutable fields of the control packet is encrypted.The proposed algorithm is used to discover the secured and longest lifetime route for persistent data forwarding with less routing overhead.
